Scipt De**** is being retired and all versions are now available as a free download, per John Gruber of DaringFireball.net. While this is likely one of the best of its kind, I have no idea which one to look at as this gradually becomes obsolete. Thanks to the devs for this software.

Debugging, Application explorer, Dictionary viewer, Code clippings, ASObjC integration, ’Open Quickly’…and a long list of other features that offer relief to pretty much all of AppleScript’s major headaches.
I can’t tell you whether you’ll get a good return on your $99 because it depends entirely on how much scripting you do and how much time and effort you want to invest in doing more AppleScripting. I can tell you based on my own experience that if you are a habitual scripter, you’re going to find this app an utterly transformative piece of software so long as you’re willing to put in the time as well as the money to learn how best to exploit it.
